Metz’ New Logo
THE NEW LOOK METZ
Various incarnations of our original black and yellow logo have been in use over the decades.
After 68 years of trading, we have decided to conduct our first complete rebrand across every business and division of Metz. So, why the change?
Today the Metz group of companies will be united under one logo, to illustrate the complete experience available to the consumer, from manufacture to installation, as well as exports.
Many will just know us as Metz. The Metz “Group” is able to cater for many unique requirements. Whether you are dealing with us for specialty materials, ceramic tiles or our installation teams.
The new logo consists of two elements, the word METZ and a new square brand mark. The logo was put together by designer Nicole Meikle from Partner Studio who has worked closely with Metz for the past 6 years. The new Metz device features the letters M E T Z superimposed over one another to create a single image. Nicole has created a unique brand mark that is distinctive without being distracting.
Along with the new logo, our websites and promotional materials have received an update, so keep an eye out and you may see exiting new things on job-sites, in our design galleries and across all our products.
A little about the history of our business. Metz was established in 1953 by Phillip Metz. The company came about in response to the building industry’s need for specialist construction materials and installation services across many applications.
Today Metz remains proudly Australian owned by the Ellis brothers, Stuart and Ian. The trusted Metz brand has seen our materials installed in some of the largest manufacturing, food production, commercial kitchen, aquatic and industrial facilities in the country. Some of our high-profile projects include cultural landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and new Parliament House in Canberra. We also regularly deal with household name brands that all trust us to implement specialist works and supply quality materials.

Metz’ rich history is not limited to Australia. Our products have been exported across the globe to more than 40 different countries. Today the Metz Group is comprised of Metz Specialty Materials – with its tile and materials divisions, Metz Project Services – our installation arm, and Metz Middle East – supporting the Gulf region.
Our extensive range of specialty construction materials is manufactured in Victoria to fit unique Australian standards. Metz Specialty Ceramic Tiles import only the highest quality European tiles, for architectural, residential and more specialist applications.
Our installation division, Metz Project Services is to this day the only Australian company able to provide a single point of responsibility from manufacture to installation.
We are excited about this new chapter in our journey as a Family Owned Australian company, and hope you will be too.
